- Galvanized steel cable thimble for 7/8" wire rope. It is the liner that goes inside an eye: the cable is turned back around it and secured, and the thimble takes the bearing instead of the cable itself. That keeps the load off the rope, stops the eye closing up under tension and holds the bend to a radius the rope can live with, which is what wears a bare eye out. Standard duty, the common pattern for general rigging. Sold individually.
