Stainless Steel Pipe

304/304L Stainless Steel Pipe, also known as 18-8 stainless, offers superior corrosion resistance with mechanical properties comparable to carbon structural steels. It is widely used in food processing, chemical handling, and structural piping systems.
Stainless Steel Pipe in the annealed condition is non-magnetic and not hardenable by heat treatment, but it can be strengthened through cold working. This makes it suitable for applications requiring both formability and corrosion resistance.
Type 304L stainless steel has a maximum carbon content of 0.03%, making it ideal for welding applications. The low carbon helps prevent carbide precipitation during welding, which maintains corrosion resistance in heat-affected zones.
